New amine technology from Rhenus Lub sets new standards in pH stability, emulsion stability and coolant service life
Mönchengladbach, 27.08.2026 – With rhenus TU 610 Rhenus Lub is launching a new generation of cooling lubricant technology. The innovative rhenus Advanced Amine Technology has been validated in the laboratory and successfully used under field conditions. Its goal: greater stability, longer cooling lubricant service lives and higher process reliability in industrial manufacturing.
Under the guiding principle NEXT LEVEL STABILITY rhenus TU 610 combines a high-performance cooling lubricant formulation with a novel amine technology. Compared to existing formulations, the technology offers significantly improved pH stability, lower volatility and superior long-term emulsion stability.
Maximum pH stability for reliable processes
A stable pH value is crucial to the performance and service life of water-mixed cooling lubricants. The new amine technology from Rhenus Lub has a very high buffering capacity and maintains the pH value even with continuous CO₂- Entry from ambient air significantly more stable. Another advantage: The amine components show practically no relevant evaporation. As a result, the composition of the emulsion remains stable over the long term – an important prerequisite for consistent process conditions and longer metalworking fluid service lives.
High hardness stability up to 80 °dH
Industrial manufacturing processes present varying challenges for cooling lubricants, depending on the location and water supply. Particularly high water hardness levels can impair the stability and quality of cooling lubricant emulsions. rhenus TU 610 remains stable at a concentration of 6 % up to a water hardness of 80 °dH. Thus, the formulation enables a reliable emulsion quality even under demanding water conditions and supports robust process control.
Low-lather – even in soft water
Excessive foaming can impair processes, obstruct the view of the machining area, and cause additional maintenance work. The new formulation was therefore reduced to a optimised foam behaviour Designed to minimise foam formation and ensure faster foam breakdown – even in soft water and under demanding machining conditions.
Long-term stability and delayed microbial growth
The performance of a cooling lubricant is not only demonstrated immediately after it is prepared. What matters is how stable the entire system remains over long periods of use. In long-term tests involving continuous bacterial exposure and without additional stabilisers showed a stable pH value over long periods of time as well as significantly delayed microbiological growth. This supports improved long-term stability of the cooling lubricant system and can help to reduce maintenance and corrective measures during ongoing operations.
rhenus Advanced Amine Technology: developed for intelligent manufacturing
The new technology is designed to meet the requirements of modern industrial manufacturing processes. As well as offering high pH and emulsion stability, rhenus TU 610 provides further technical advantages:
- Universally applicable for a wide range of materials
- Biocide-free formulation for a forward-looking and user-friendly metalworking fluid solution
- Outstanding long-term stability for extended coolant service lives and less maintenance work
- Exceptionally low-foaming, even under demanding machining conditions
- Excellent rinsing performance for clean workpieces and machine systems
- EP additives for high lubricating performance and reliable tool protection
- Water hazard class WGK 1 – low water hazard
This combines rhenus TU 610 process stability, lubrication performance and user-friendliness in a modern metalworking fluid solution.
Lower maintenance, longer service life, lower operating costs
For users, the focus is not only on technical performance but, above all, on cost-effectiveness. High coolant stability can help to ensure that processes run more reliably and reduce the effort required for corrective action and maintenance.
The key customer benefits of rhenus TU 610 at a glance:
- Higher process stability: The stable pH value and the reliable emulsion quality help to maintain consistent production conditions.
- Extended coolant lifespan: The high long-term stability helps to extend the service life of the metalworking fluid.
- Lower maintenance: More stable processes can reduce the need for corrective actions and additional interventions.
- Lower total cost of ownership: Longer machine availability and less maintenance effort create potential for more efficient production.
NEXT LEVEL STABILITY for industrial manufacturing
With rhenus TU 610 and the rhenus Advanced Amine Technology Rhenus Lub continues to drive forward the development of cooling lubricant technology. The combination of high pH stability, hard water stability, low foaming properties and long-term stability creates a robust foundation for modern manufacturing processes.
